without a decent and tolerable 
planet to put it on.
It is not the man the ecological crisis
threatens to destroy,
but it is the qualities of human life

We can enjoy the pleasures of Nature
only by taking care of it.
If we do not permit the earth
to produce beauty and joy,
it will in the end not produce food either.
The Earth provides enough to satisfy every
man's need but not every man's greed.

What we are doing to the forests
is but a mirror reflection
of what we are doing
to ourselves and to one another
Greenery sustains wildlife and wilderness

The struggle to save the Environment is
in a way much more difficult,
the toughest challenge facing man.
Since the fight now is with ourselves.
We are the biggest enemy,
just as we have only ourselves as allies.
